No, As an independent business we are responsible for our own success & failure by the choices we make. Yes the poor economy has definetely affected all of us & has made it difficult for a lot of businesses to succeed but there is no one offering the small business a "bailout" so why should the large corporations be given a hand out?

This whole bailout thing doesn't make sense to me. Why not split all the bailout money, and send everyone a visa check card for their share? That will get a lot of money circulating again, and we can get out of this mess. .... sending everyone just regular check, like they did last time, doesn't work because many people used the money to pay existing bills, or they just saved it.

so we do not bailout the builders but we give to the auto industry and the banks & financial Institutions ?

The banks have been receiving bailout money in order to stimulate the economy but we have not seen results because they have not passed to their customers . I read that some banks are closing customers line of credits and credit cards with no reason at all . Esters idea of sending Visa card will have a better result because money will circulate but will not make happy the Banks - Financial institutions the Big 3-

We as small business ownres when we make a mistake we pay dearly nobody is bailing us out why ???? because we have no power and no say ....

Just to keep you informed the big 3 are getting their portion of the bailout money Lets see which is next for sure not the private owned companies

Wall Street Journal By JOHN D. MCKINNON dec 19-08

Mr. Bush said.
"Under ordinary economic circumstances, I would say 'this is the price that failed companies must pay' and I would not favor intervening to prevent the auto makers from going out of business," the president said. "But these are not ordinary circumstances."
The deal would extend $13.4 billion in loans to General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC in December and January, with another $4 billion likely available in February. It also would provide the government with non-voting warrants, although the exact amount was unclear immediately. Ford Motor Co. has said it doesn't need short-term assistance.

If every hurting business isn't getting a share, I don't think any should. Otherwise, how do you draw the line? Only helping large corporations hurts the little guy. Every study always refers to small businesses as the number one generator of jobs, yet relief programs are always aimed at big corporations who grab their cash and then cut jobs. How does that help the economy?

You are right " Every study always refers small businesses as the number one generator of jobs, yet relief programs are always aimed at big corporations "but we have no say because we are small

We need to have a voice in Washington We need ideas and suggestions how we can legally form an entity that will be representing the interest of the small business .... Teamwork is the key for our sucess and we need to work together

Looking forward for suggestions

Everyone that is wanting a portion of the "Bail out Money" needs to remember one thing...it comes from the people! our government does not have it!
The builders and comercial developers are in the same catagory as "Investment property and investment stocks and such!" They gambeled to MAKE money and when it goes bad, they want someone to give them back there investment??? If it went well would they have shared there profit??? NO WAY!!
When was the last time you bought a stock and if it went down did you ask for your original investment back?
This is getting crazy....
I feel bad for the people that are loosing the only homes that they ever had....that just wanted a roof over there heads for there kids......a piece of the american dream...

You are right the bailout comes from the people and when the companies we bailout were profeting big money were never shared with us that we are now bailing them out ......... The goverment has to pay attention on the small companies that they will be wiped out if they do not get helped the private companies are struggling .

We all feel bad tor the people that are loosing their homes and the american dream has been shattered
We have to impose severe punishment to any person involved on issuing this type of mortgage ( loan officers - underwriters - apraisals- banks - financial institution -etc etc ) it is a chain of people involved for the aproval of a mortgage and they have to be hold responsible they are criminals ...............they are responsible for the situation we are now ....... but their companies were the first institution being bailout !!!! why ?

Maybe the senators and congress from our states can provide resources for the private industry to overcome these hard times so we have to let them know .....

please remember this, people are responsible for there choices and actions. When you said that the mortgage originators should be held responsible, I have to disagree....this is what happened, I should know, I was one.
The companies were allowed to create these weird loans, when the people herd the low low payments, they INSISTED on that type of loan, that put the originators in a no win position, give it to them or loose the client....loose your job! We did not create the loan, it was just part of the menu, just like the fast food $1.00 menus, they are bad for us, but we order them because of the price and are you going to sue the restaurant waitress for serving you what you ordered??? and if she wont give it to you, you go to the next place that will....
